In order to be successful the attacker will require future codes that are transmitted via the key fob. Once these codes have been obtained, the attacker can perform the replay and gain access to a vehicle.

One feature that is popular with people who own Renault Trafic is the ability to unlock the hatchback and trunk with a button on their key fob. This can be extremely useful when they have a lot of party or food items in their hands and don't want to pack everything away to open the car.
It's also a good method to stop theft from occurring in the first instance. If someone is trying to steal your vehicle or get into your home, a quick press of the panic button can scare them off and alert neighbors to the issue. If you're on the road and start to feel uneasy pressing the panic button immediately alerts nearby drivers that something is amiss.
The main reason why the system isn't working properly is that the key fob may be damaged, for example, from dropping it or washing it. Other reasons include a faulty key that has been programmed or immobilizer issue and interference from other wireless devices that transmit at the same frequency as your key fob.
